SELLmatix PosDroid for Android devices went into beta test in October 2012, and at this point
has only been tested on a limited range of devices. At this point, the only firm requirement is that it requires Android 2.3 or later. This is because all SELLmatix software uses Unicode character encoding, and prior to Version 2.3, Android stored text characters in a single byte instead of UCS-2 as on Windows, or UCS-4 as on Linux. From android 2.3 onwards, Android stores text in UCS-4 the same as Linux. At this time, all the Android devices we have tested on work correctly. We would appreciate feedback about other devices on the forum. |

This is a low cost, entry level Android Smartphone, with lower performance than top of the range Smartphones. We try to design our software so that it will perform well on low cost devices without requiring expensive fast hardware. Software that performs well on the slower devices then runs extremely well on higher specification equipment. This phone was the model we chose to develop SELLmatix PosDroid, and it performs well on these devices. Even though this is an entry level phone, it is an extremely good device and very highly recommended. The only thing we would suggest is that you get a screen protector sheet, or cover because the glass on the touch screen is not as hard as on other Galaxy models and it can get scratched. This does not affect performance however since it uses a capacitative touch screen, not resistive. | |

In our opinion, these are the best Smartphones available. Yes, they run PosDroid. Other variants of these phones packages by phone companies also work with SELLmatix Posdroid.
